Midst

"Caught between the Un and the Fold sits the islet of Midst… When their ramshackle postal ship crashes on a mysterious new landmass, siblings Rowan and Ogden Shearwater have to make the best of it. Adventurous Ogden convinces reluctant Rowan to make a fresh start in the strange new islet that sits between the bright Un and the dark Fold. But Midst holds dangers that will challenge Ogden and Rowan's family bonds as well as their will to survive."

A semi-improvised space-western audio drama, Midst focuses on "three protagonists – a crotchety outlaw, a struggling cultist and a diabolical bastard – as their paths intersect in unexpected ways" in the town of Stationary Hill after the mysterious civilization known as the Trust becomes interested in the islet of Midst where the town is located. It is created and narrated by an anonymous trio of artists known as Third Person, inspired by a campaign setting the narrators created for a tabletop role-playing game they played together. Midst first aired from January to May, 2020, with a second season in 2022. In March 2023, Midst was acquired by Metapigeon which rereleased the remastered series weekly beginning on April 11, 2023, on various podcasting platforms and the Critical Role YouTube channel along with a final third season of the show.

Midst: Address Unknown #1 sees  siblings Rowan and Ogden Shearwater, whose ship crashes in a strange new land, try to make a new life for themselves, though the "eerie nature of the Midst proves to be more challenging than they expect."

Midst

"Midst has always aspired to be more than just a podcast, so it is incredibly exciting to announce our collaboration with Dark Horse to tell more Midst stories in new ways," said Third Person. "This collection introduces new aspects of the Midst storyverse, spanning the past, present, and future of the show's timeline, revealing new heights and depths throughout the cosmos. This is a dream come true for us, and we can't wait to share these new tales."

Midst: Address Unknown (1 of 3) arrives in comic shops on the 14th ofAugust, 2024.
