David Brothers Announces His Last Day at Image Comics is Tomorrow

Tonight, David Brothers, Branding Manager at Image Comics announced on Twitter that he had quit his position, with tomorrow being his last day at the publisher.

Reaction has been strong from many comics industry names. They included,

I first remember Brothers from his 4thletter blog way back in the mists of internet time. A well-regarded contributor and editor at Pop Culture Shock before moving to Comics Alliance, it was also his editing work for big names including Greg Rucka, Scott Snyder and Ed Brubaker that helped saw Brothers become Content Manager at Image Comics in 2013. He maintained a public face for the publisher at comic conventions and panels presentations, and in 2015 become Branding Manager, including during Image Comics' move from Oakland to Portland.

He recently gained a rush of attention after his tweets about the new Marvel Comics Editor-In-Chief C.B. Cebulski using the pseudonym Akira Yoshida fifteen years ago, got picked up by the mass media after Cebulski owned up.

What he's up to next… is something everyone seems interested in discovering. Speculation is that it might be manga-related, but that's all.

It's going to be an interesting 2018 all round.
