DC Comics Hiring Continues To Cause Ructions

linges

We mentioned a while ago that the DC Comics move from East Coast to West Coast would cause ructions for West Coast publishers, more than it would the New York publishers they leave behind.

After all, losing almost half your New York staff, even with imposed cutbacks, still means for a lot of Help Wanted signs.

Last month Ben Abernathy left Madefire to rejoin DC Comics as Director of Talent Relations.

Two weeks ago ex-Comics Alliance editor Andy Khouri took an editorship at DC Comics.

Yesterday, Oni Press EIC (a decade ago) Jamie S Rich announced he had taken a senior editor position at DC Comics/Vertigo.

Add to that the resignation from Dark Horse Comics from Diana Schutz and right now no one seems to know which side is up.

So who is next? Will we see Boom, IDW or Dark Horse people make the move to DC next? CBR is based on the West Coast, could their staffers be raided by DC Human Resources? And for those who don't take the DC shilling, odds are they'll be able to negotiate a better package with their existing employer…

It's all to play for. Good luck out there.
