Do The Legion Comics Give Clues To The TV Show, Or Are They Red Herrings?

So Legion. Plenty of people are theorising that most of the characters are people in David Haller's head.

Certainly, the comic book character was a sufferer of dissociative identity disorder, with many personalities manifesting themselves, each with their own mutant power.

And that's how it looked in the recent series in which David Haller starred, X-Men Legacy by Si Spurrier and Tang Eng Huat. And Fox have been giving away promotional copies of the comic in question.

Yes, like that. Well, in the comic, it begins here….

001

The Qortex Complex. Full of people imprisoned… and being tortured for some reason.

002

And it turns out that this torturer extracting whatever it is from all the alien prisoners…

008

Is David Haller. Or rather a version of him.
004Who has found a way to deal with his personalities. Of using their powers without letting them take over his body. Mostly, anyway.

009

Although they can still get out…

010

Anyway, it's this set-up which feels most similar to the Clockwork asylum in the first episode of Legion. Which only underlines the idea that everyone in there is actually in Haller…. and he has yet to find a way to control them.

Or they actually are part of the mutant underground which will feed into the second X-Men TV show from Fox…
