Hero Happy Hour Versus The Supreme Leader Takes To Kickstarter
By Christopher Helton
Who has the courage to stand up to the villainy of The Supreme Leader? Only the regulars of The Hideout Bar & Grill, it seems. Geek Punk, Dan Taylor and Chris Fason bring their stand against evil and terror to Kickstarter with Hero Happy Hour Vs. The Supreme Leader, a special one-shot comic in a special crowdfunding campaign.
Because of the timely nature of this book, the Kickstarter will run for only 10 days, starting on December 25, 2014. This will be the only self-contained run of this story.
The Hero Happy Hour Vs. The Supreme Leader comic will be at least 24 black and white pages or original content promising some (or all!) of the following:
- Heroics pushed beyond the limits!
- Heroes facing worldwide annihilation!
- The Mega-Jong of Mass Destruction!
- The first appearance of Booster Badger!
- Two guys named James and Seth.
- And, the introduction of the Ambassador Worm.
If you have never read Hero Happy Hour, imagine a comic that mixes the madcap humor of the Giffen & DeMatteis run of the Justice League with the absurdity of Ben Edlund's The Tick, and set in a Cheers-like bar. It is a wonderful, fun romp through the tropes of comic book super-heroes and their relationships with one another.
Will you stand with the heroes of Hero Happy Hour in their darkest hour, or will you stand with the evil of The Supreme Leader?
