If #MediaBlackout Had Been True, You'd All Feel Really Guilty By Now
The UK does not have freedom of speech enshrined in its constitution like the USA. Conversely, you can swear and show full frontal nudity on network television, but certain news stories can't be reported if they are sufficiently sensitive, by order of the government. There is something called the D-Notice, which is rarely used, but very powerful when enacted.
Anyway, the internet seemed to think such a thing has been used. And that it's down to the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Which has led to my inbox being full this morning, and this sort of thing.

So where did it all come from? Well it may have been a now-deleted Facebook post from a radio show…
And a fake and now suspended BBC twitter account…
@BBCNewsUKI: BREAKING: Buckingham Palace announces the death of Queen Elizabeth II at the age of 90. Circumstances are unknown. More to follow.
Finally wrestled this back into some kind of token relevance for Bleeding Cool.
Oh and just so you know,

This didn't happen at 8am. But what did happen?
