Jim Kuhoric Joins Avatar As Managing Editor. Not Archaia.
First Keith Davidsen. Now Jim Kuhoric. Avatar seems to making a habit of hiring ex-Diamond Comic Distributors employees of late.
Jim will be Avatar's new Vice President of Publishing and Managing Editor. And not, as The Beat had him at Wondercon, joining Archaia. Oopsie.
Jim has had a stellar rep amongst publishers at Diamond, and he is one of the main Diamond people who made Free Comic Book Day happen. Maybe he'll get Avatar to participate next year. You never know.
He's also written for licensed titles such as Stargate SG-1, Battlestar Galactica, Army of Darkness, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Friday the 13th and won the 2006 Spike TV Award for "Best Movie to Comic Book" for Army of Darkness: Shop Till You Drop Dead and the 2009 ComicMonsters.com Horror Award for "Best Mini Series" on his creator-owned title, Dead Irons.
But I can call him Daddy.
