Jonathan Hickman Goes Digital… Finally

Remember when Jonathan Hickman kicked off a little over Red Wing being digitally published on ComiXology by Image Comics by mistake? Some saw it as a principled stand against digital comics. Turns out Hickman just wanted to do it right.

Jonathan Hickman Goes Digital… Finally

The Test Pattern is a digital collection of The Nightly News, Pax Romana, Transhuman, A Red Mass for Mars, and The Red Wing, all written for Image by Jonathan Hickman, released simultaneously with the first issue of The Manhattan Projects and a free sampler of the collection, with the first issues of all the titles. And a nice cover (above).

The individual issues of those five series have also been made available for $1.99/£1.49, with the first issue free, and digital collections of each individual series available. But none of them come with the above digital cover.

This may be the first example of the deluxe digital comics collection. It has a price of $34.99/$24.49, through ComiXology and Image.
