Josh Hoopes Alert At RED – Beware Of "Joshua John"

Josh Hoopes is again trying to launch a series of scams across the comics industry, to try and rip off both new artists and small publishers. Over the years he has easily scammed a six figure sum, though I have managed to stop a number of people from being conned.

He is currently advertising for work on deviantART. As always, he will give publishers a low price for his work, recruit other artists on a higher page rate to supply the artwork, then disappear with the money, leaving publishers putting out a comic believing they have paid for the art, and artists discovering the truth many months later. Here's how is currently addressing publishers looking for artists;

Hello. I saw your posting and am interested in the
art job.
Included is a link of my work for consideration.
Please if you have any questions please ask.

Josh Hoopes, I know you'll read this. I have your social security number, I know your home address, I know your work address as well – somewhere Wile E Coyote might like to visit, yes? Or should I talk to Sean Burns?

If you con anyone, I will hand all those details over to them, so that they can take it up with the relevant law enforcement authorities.

You continue to try and con those who can least afford to be conned, time after time after time. And I'll keep doing this, time after time after time.
