Marvel Celebrates Politics in Comics with World Outside Your Window Hardcover
Revealed in their March solicitations today, Marvel is planning a hardcover collection for next year called Marvel Comics: The World Outside Your Window, celebrating Marvel's commitment to putting politics in comics. But in a revelation that may shock you, further research shows that Marvel may have been putting politics in their comics all along, since the very beginning! We didn't want to believe it, but it appears to be true.
Just look at the line-up of the book, featuring such SJW creators as Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Chris Claremont, Gene Colan, Bob Layton, John Romita Jr., and more, and featuring Marvel superheroes "grappling with alcoholism, participating in politics, celebrating diversity and everything in between." Some of the topics covered include "drug abuse, teen suicide, HIV, terrorism, school shootings and more." Such agenda!
There's no release date for the solicit, but Amazon lists it as hitting stores in July.
