Marvel Comics' Latest Exclusive – Their Paper Stock

Marvel_NOW_Previews_Magazine_CoverAt San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel SVP David Gabriel talked to retailers about the paper stock for their comics.

Or late it's been noted that DC Comics titles are published on better quality paper, and there have been complaints about the "self cover" paper on the comics from Marvel, with issues raised about humidity, shipping and printing. The Marvel Previews NOW! catalogue was mentioned.

Gabriel told retailers at San Diego that they have printers who are putting together an exclusive paper for Marvel that's thicker and sturdier than they have used in the recent past. They have been testing it on current books and on those titles have seen no problems and believe it's doing well.

They expect to now roll this material out across the line at the end of the summer.
