Marvel NOW!: Scarlet Witch Fights Alongside Rogue In Uncanny Avengers #1
Courtesy of Entertainment Weekly (who are still claiming an exclusive on revealing the existence of Marvel NOW, the bastards) is the cover to Uncanny Avengers #1 by John Cassaday, showing the team, at least initially, of Wolverine, Captain America, Scarlet Witch, Thor, Rogue and Havok.
Clearly everyone's been for a little therapy since Avengers Vs X-Men. The prominence of Havok does also inicate that something very bad could be about to happen to Cyclops… EW quotes writer Rick Remender saying
"Captain America comes out of Avengers vs. X-Men recognizing that he didn't do enough to help the mutants. He's going to fix that."
It will be interesting to see if this new design is used across the relaunch. Will all covers begin with the title integated into the artwork better? Will all the cover information be placed in the lower bar now? Not a great place to put an issue number if you are stacking them along a comic shelf…
Oh and look, both women are wearing trousers. It really is a new world…
