Petition At Change.Org Asking Marvel To Keep Digital Codes Exactly The Way They Are

nowoxudvfknjnut-800x450-nopadMaybe Change.org should change their name to NoChange.org?

Recently, Bleeding Cool covered a change at Marvel regarding their digital code programme which, until February could be best described as "Buy Physical, Get Digital". Where readers could download a digital version of the comic they had bought. Instead, readers will get 3 classic comics, first issues of older arcs or stories, digitally for free. Which means if you buy 10 print comics, you will still get just three free older digital comics for that week.

For some readers the previous system provided an incentive to get comics from stores rather than just download them. Others were able to monetise the download codes and help amortise the cost of comics collection. But not any more…

James McDonald has started a petition aiming to change that. He writes,

Marvel Comics has just decided to change how they run their digital code program. They will no longer give digital copies of the title purchased but instead give a set book(s) each week. Please help have this decision changed to actually give fans/customers the best value for their money.
