A Comic Show – Why Does The Watcher Watch?

Aaron Haaland of A Comic Shop in Orlando, Florida, writes:

Hey Fandom, it's me, Aaron, with a stack of New Comics Now! This week DC actually won the day, Marvel launched Original Sin, and Walking Dead ended the All Out War!

Jeff Lemire's new Justice League United zero issue set up the Canadian locale, Animal Man's role, Adam Strange, the new First Nation hero, and more that you can't just get from the cover. I'm excited about this book hopefully it'll be the new wacky DC action title with heart. Flash #30 starts the new team's run, and the reintroduction of Wally West into the New 52 DCU. I liked the time jump aspects of this, and have always enjoyed a Flash story with a time travel angle. Over in Batman Eternal #3 we got our Stephanie Brown back, and unlike Wally her origin and set up seem exactly the same. Give Eternal a shot, Snyder's fleshing out the New 52 Batverse weekly. And Secret Origin #1 is here with three great pairings of character and creative teams.

Over at Marvel, Original Sin #0 Nova asks why the Watcher watches and it stumps the Avengers. Elektra #1 is continuing what worked with Hawkeye and Black Widow: let the character just be who they are. She's an assassin, not a lover or a hero. Let's see her kill some people! The Guardians of the Galaxy #14 set's up the next major story are in its main feature, but the real treats are Lanning and Abnett's back up stories giving us Groot's origin and the classic future Guardians.

Oh, and Walking Dead's All Out War ends here. I was very satisfied with it, and ready for what's next. No spoilers here. Enjoy.
