A Second Helping Of The Subway Justice League Comic
In certain DC Universe titles this week, joy of joys, you get another Justice League Subway comic.
It's a step up on last week in that at no point does Aquaman say that he shouldn't be swimming in the ocean alone. But it does appear to have Green Lantern helping a professional basketball player cheat at an exhibition match.
Anyway, some basketball player wants a Subway sandwich and shows that he can read, and then order it from a robot. Watch for that "Avacado", it'll repeat on us.
Anyway, it takes him so long he's late for something. Thankfully there's some kind of racing driver who has just finished his Subway. And is happy to break local traffic regulations.
Until Gorilla Grodd turns up with mind controlled gorillas which, for some reason, are proving difficult to deal with. Even with Superman, Wonder Woman and the Green Lantern there.
Why is that, boys?
See? Told you the Avacado would return. It's a superfood you see. Which makes it easy for the basketball player to do this.
Because somehow knocking Gorilla Grodd slightly on the head is beyond, I don't know, Green Lantern. Anyway they boys save the day and get a quick ride to the game. But a plan is brewing.
Yes, Blake, if that is your name, what are you going to do?
That is the Green Lantern ring energy around him, right? What a cheater! And yes, the boys get to finish the completely uneaten Subway sandwiches, the one that the driver bloke said he'd already had.
Two of four, folks. More to come…
