DC Comics On The Hunt For A New Writer And Artist For Batman

15e1_sodium_batmanThe Batman monthly comic book has remained the most consistent, bestselling monthly comic book in the comic store direct market, and the current New 52 run by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo has entrenched it as a sales monster, the one sure rock of reliability in the charts for DC.

But Greg Capullo is moving on. And what of Scott Snyder?

Bleeding Cool understands from very well connected sources that DC Comics have these past weeks, been making enquiries of certain writers and artists as to whether or not they may be interested in working on the monthly title, including a number of Marvel creators currently on exclusive contracts.

We know that Greg Capullo is leaving Batman for a creator-owned comic book with Mark Millar, though will be returning again for a bit.

And that Sean Gordon Murphy will also be working with Scott Snyder on a Batbook.

But this is something else. Now, this could be a replacement for Scott and Greg on the book. DC could be working out their options. There are likely to be other arrangements regarding Scott Snyder working at the publisher.

But it looks as if there will be some big changes on the way.
