Thursday Runaround – Flaming Skulls On A Shirt
FriedrichWatch: As Rick Vietch says;
This skull-tastic T-Shirt is a fundraiser for Mike Friedrich, the original creator of Ghost Rider. He's battling Marvel over what he believes are his rights and in trouble financially (full story here). Aided and inspired by Ben and Tracy over at World of Strange, myself, Billy Tackett, Stephen Bissette, Bob Burden, Nathan Thomas Milliner, Sam Flega and Denis St. John have collaborated on this exclusive skull themed T-shirt as a fundraiser to help Gary out. The guy wearing the crown and smoking a cigar is mine. World of Strange has them for a limited time only at a very affordable $11.99. All profits go to Gary. All glory goes to those who proudly wear the shirt!
TrudeauWatch: Gary Trudeau on the Doonesbury fuss;
We anticipated that we might run into a community standards issue with one or two clients, but nothing like the 47 papers that we know about. I don't want to sound disingenuous here — controversy is obviously good for business, especially if your business is satire. And it does amplify the discussion — in my view, a good thing. We need a robust debate on these shocking rollbacks of reproductive rights. But I didn't set out to gin up some kind of furor. It just followed me home this week.

A March break activity, Comic Book Jam at the Central Library on Wednesday was a time for workshops, comic creations, trivia, comic giveaways, a photo booth for little costumed heroes and more. Hundreds of fans jammed the area for the event's second edition.It wasn't just kids. The adults were jam fans, too. At least one dad showed up to murmur "the motherlode, the motherlode," after realizing the superheroes at the Heroes Cards & Comic table were, in fact, giving away comics and graphic novels free.
IndiaWatch: Producers of the Agent Vinod movie in India are releasing a comic book to introduce movie goers to the characters before they see the movie…
The Jungfrau Encounter will be available for R295 and is in full-colour, with the lettering done by London-based designer, Viraj Deo. It includes a dossier featuring developmental art, a mock-RAW assessment report and a look into its creative process. Says Paul, "We will put it up on amazon.com immediately and hope for big online sales."
That's my London…
This is Computo the Comic Link Conqueror speaking. I come for your women. But for now I merely collate comic-related bits and pieces online. One day I will rule. Until that day, read on.
They say I am a work in progress. The fools.
20th Century Danny Boy: More Atlas Comics Shenanigans! Psychic Octopus Jr v Ironjaw!
The good news is that the legal saga continues, which means that Jason Goodman stands a good chance of being able to finally lay claim to what he must surely feel is his birthright. The bad news is that the legal saga continues, which means that more money will be spent on lawyers.
