Gamercon Chaos In Dublin After Heavy Rain Meets Overcrowding, Hours Of Queues And Shut Down Show
This video of the queue snaking around one side of Gamercon in Dublin today gives you some extent of the problem.
There are allegations of mass overselling of tickets to the show, over 20,000 tickets for a venue that holds between 7000 and 9000, leading to many people unable to get through the doors, and reports that the show was shut down by safety officials as a result of overcrowding.
Oh, and it was raining.
And the website that contained terms and conditions over refunds and the like has been taken offline.

Founder Ferdi Roberts said in an official statement that they had underestimated traffic flow for the event. "GamerCon sincerely apologises for the significant delays that our attendees experienced this morning. As a first time event we underestimated the traffic flow that we forecast for the event and have very strict health and safety related capacities which we must adhere to. That temporarily impacted our ability to process the queue which resulted in longer than expected wait time for our attendees."
And for those who want refunds,
