Hell Arisen #3, 1st & 2nd Prints, Batman #89 2nd Print, & Not Much Else On … The Back Order List 2/19/2020
Every week your Local Comic Book shop gets in the weekly assortment of comics, trades, posters, action figures, and other goodies from Diamond. Now some of these goodies sell our fast from your LCBS, so Tuesday and Wednesday LCBS retailers get on the phone (more often the computer) and let Diamond know they need more. Or sometimes they go to unpack those Diamond boxes and find items missing, or too damaged to sell (it does happen), retailers have to let Diamond know. However, the phrase no retailer likes to hear when they go to report those shortages, damages, or reorders is: "Sorry that item is on back order", which means there are no more copies to send out from the Diamond warehouse.
For the final week of February there were two big Back Order entries … and not much else. There are actually almost as many Overships this week as there Back Order entries from this week… as of Wednesday afternoon. Starting again with the two obvious entries from DC:
Year Of The Villain Hell Arisen #3 Main Cover
And Year Of The Villain Hell Arisen #3 Variant Cardstock, both long gone and we get a full appearance of Punchline, though only one real panel showing all of her.
And coming up and already confirmed and on the Back Order list, the second prints for Batman #89 and Year Of The Villain Hell Arisen #3. So expect a likely third printing for both being announced soon…
And Suicide Squad #3 Variant Cover goes to Back Order.
Everything else belongs to Marvel, with Spider-Ham #3,
along with Punisher Soviet #4,
on the Back Order list. That's it, four comics on the Back Order List as of Wednesday the 26th from this week. On the overstock side Avengers Of The Wasteland #2, saw extra copies sent to retailers.
Falcon & The Winder Solider #1 also sees extra copies sent out,
And extra copies of Ravencroft #2
Along with Star #2, all getting extra copies sent to retailers at no charge (except the cost of the extra weight in shipping.)
So if you are at your LCBS and see any of these "back order titles" grab them if you want them, because Diamond "likely" won't be sending anymore 1st prints no matter how much your local retailer asks.
