Sunday Trending Topics: Here Comes Con Season
Though there's really not much of an off-season anymore, it was one of the first major con weekends of the year with interesting news tidbits coming from Angoulême and New Orleans (hence Rich's earlier call for convention contributors). And what was this thing I heard about a group of comic exhibitors getting kicked out of Emeril's restaurant after a confrontation with an actor? Someone should send Rich an email about that one.

I'm not the world's biggest Joe Carnahan fan and I really did not like The A-Team at all, but I have to say, his new picture The Grey is alright by me. It's at least half an hour too long, occasionally a bit rough and has been padded with some forgettable characters and repetitive episodes but, on the other hand, it has several stand-out set-pieces and dramatic beats that, while not being perfectly executed, are winningly conceived. I'd certainly recommend it.
Friday Film Review (On Saturday) – Woman In Black, Carnage, Underworld 3D, W.E And More
We manage to squeeze in comments on The Woman in Black, Carnage, Underworld 3D, Chronicle (again) and W.E but, I'm afraid there wasn't as much time to go to the kind of depth I would have liked – and I didn't get to say anything about The Descendants and The Grey, though I'll be coming back to those soon.
