Jackson Guice And Mike Perkins' Mandalay
Jackson 'Butch' Guice has drawn a series for Humanoids? He's the main artist in the supernatural thriller Mandalay that soon will be published in English at last.
The first three volumes of the book were pencilled by Guice with inks by Mike Perkins and now the the fourth and final volume of Mandalay will be illustrated by the Mexican illustrator Rafael Gallur.
As with Redhand the background is the same: Mandalay was one of the titles drawn and/or written by prominent American creators that Humanoids developed and published in the previous decade. Some of those books have seen an American edition by either DC during their brief association with the European publisher or by Humanoids on their own. Others like Mandalay were just teased for publication in 2008 when Humanoids and Devil's Due announced their ultimately short-lived association.
These pages never saw the light of day in English translation, until now. Because as you Humanoids has hired a different artist to complete the series. And once the final volume is published in France later this year, a complete US collected edition from Humanoids will follow suit quickly.
Well timed, Humanoids have recovered the original are from their old Mobius-designed-logo…
Here's what Mandalay looks like in the French…
