Marvel Brings On Their Own September Discounts
It cannot have completely escaped your notice that DC Comics is relaunching all of its comics in September. And in doing so is giving retailers all sorts of incentives to buy them in larger quantities. Returnability, increased discount, variants, the lot.
So obviously Marvel can't let them get away with that on their own.
In September, retailers will get an extra 2% off almost all their new comics orders, if they increase their orders on thirty specific titles by 115% on previous orders for larger shops, 125% for smaller shops. There are also separate incentives on ordering Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #1 and Ultimate Comics X-Men #1 too.
So stat watchers, if you see a slight uptick on the books below in September's sales figures, this might be a small factor…
HEROES FOR HIRE #11, #12, THUNDERBOLTS #163, WOLVERINE #15, #16, X-FACTOR #224.1, X-MEN #17, #18, AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #669, #670, BLACK PANTHER #523 and #523.1, GHOST RIDER #3, HULK VS.
