Spawn #297 Rewrites Its History – And Powers (Spoiler)

It's The Road to Spawn #300 – and #301 for that matter. And Todd McFarlane, with the assistance of John Gott and Jason Shawn Alexander is taking advantage of the fact to do a little rewriting of the last twenty-six years with of Spawnness, with the second part of its History Of Spawn.

Including a look at his villains, now repurposed as increasing his strength rather than defeating him, preparing for the end game.

With Cogliostro with the Crown of Hell's 8th Plane, The Heap, Decay, Simon Pure and his legion of vampires, Soul Crusher, Clown, King Spider and the Pig boys.

And all the other versions of Spawn which he would be able to draw on as an army of Spawn if he is able to work out how.

She-Spawn (Nyx), Mandarin Spawn, Medieval Spawn, War Spawn, Necro Cop, Gunslinger Spawn, Raven Spawn, Ninja Spawn and… well, Spawn.

Sounds like he has three issues to work it out. Then we'll get a Spawn #300 full of Spawns, in time for the big fight.
