I was a little surprised to see DC coin the New 52 phrase during SDCC, seeming to lock that number into place even as news of additional October and November titles was surfacing in the same spirit of the reboot. But looking back on reboot history, as we often have in recent months, it does make sense in a way — the DC eras do seem to have rather sharply-defined beginnings, but you can't create the universe in 30 days.
