Will You Judge Olivia Thirlby?The new Dredd movie's Psi Judge Anderson has been cast, and she's an unexpected, unusual choice.

Despite descriptors in the screenplay that suggest someone more blonde poppety, the role has gone to Olivia Thirlby.

Anderson is easily the most interesting character in the screenplay, not least because she's the one with a character arc.

There's a neat scene in the first half of the script in which Anderson uses her psychic abilities to get herself and Dredd out of a tight corner and into hiding. What happens subsequently, in the apartment they hide out in, was easily the highpoint of the screenplay for me.

It's Dredd's movie, but Anderson's the heart.
