Redeem Or Die! – $3.99 Digital Codes From MarvelThe digital download code polybagged inside upcoming issues of Avenging Spider-Man is just the start for Marvel's value added offering for comic book customers, and it looks set to roll out across that price point. As the page rates have been dropping over the last year, so this will intend to give added value.

However, it has been pointed out to me by Marvel people that this will only continue in this fashion if the download codes are used. If people don't use the digital download, it won't be seen to be of value… if it is indeed valued. And people inside Marvel will also look how soon it takes for people to download.

Marvel have generally been short tail rather than long tail publishers. So if you like the download code option, and you'd like it to continue and expand, without getting charged extra, then download your digital copy the same week you buy the print copy.

No pressure…
