The Return Of An Old Friend, In More Ways Than One

czfhdtkz_400x400Comicon.com is one of the ancientest of ancient comic reporting websites. Begun by Rick Veitch and Steve Conley back in 1998 (I think), it was intended to be a virtual comic book convention, with artists and small publishers taking "booths", mini-websites within websites in an age when having your own website seemed an impossibility for many. It also had news services, Comicon Splash and The Pulse by the likes of Rick Veitch, Charles Brownstein, Heidi MacDonald, Jai Nitz, Tom Spurgeon and many, many more. I read it a lot.

But over time it faded away. People moved on, the funding didn't seem to be there, and the site was left to fallow, with just a really great URL to bring in traffic. There were sporadic bursts of content, including about a year ago, but nothing seemed to come of it.

Until today, when there was a burst of new content. Of a fairly familiar style to my eye. And though the pieces weren't being credited, a familiar face around these parts was letting people know they articles existed.

And retweeting up a storm

Is this a welcome back, Hannah? If so, good luck with your new… beat.
