Speculator Corner: Josh Middleton's Variant for Batgirl #23

As we mentioned yesterday,. last week's Josh Middleton's Batgirl #23 cover really seems to have hit a chord, with copies selling on eBay for up to $30 each.

It's one of the new reduced-trade dress line of variant comics that DC Comics is publishing, emphasising the cover artwork.

Most of the variants sell for cover price, but a few others that have attracted after market interest is Batman #45 by Jim Lee, selling from $6 to $11, Nightwing #45 for $8-$9, or Cyborg #22 for $10. But mostly they go for cover price or slightly above.

But Batgirl #23? Everyone seems to love it.
