Thank FOC It's Sunday #8 – It's BOOMing Day

Welcome to Thank FOC It's Friday Sunday, a weekly-ish mailing list, similar to The Daily LITG, but (mostly) every Friday and planned to coincide and cover the demands of Final Order Cut Off. The date when retailers have a last chance to amend their advance orders for comic books without penalty. A last chance for publishers to promote books while orders can still be added. And a time for credits to be amends, new covers to be revealed and a final push given. This is an attempt to sift through them all and find the most relevant items.

It's all heading to the holidays, Diamond's Free Comic Book Day 2019 announcements pushed everyone's solicitations later this week – apart from those publishers who just ignored it. And 2000AD had their own plans. Eric Esquivel fallout continued to fall out – though no one seemed to notice he ha a new comic out on Wednesday in the shape of Phantasmagoria from SBP Press. Diamond started selling mini-comics spinners for shorter arms. And we got greater confirmation that a Greg Rucka Lois Lane comic book is on its way. There's a new comic from Steve Aoki on the way. Heavy Metal Magazine has a big secret on the way. And Maxwell's Demons #4 and #5 have been joined together into a massive demonic tome…

The Roy Thomas/Neal Adams back-and-forth reached a cessation of hostilities for now. DC Comics announced exclusive retailer covers for Detective Comics #1000 as Doomsday Clock slipped another week. We go some Zoom and Ink previews… and did you have to hold your copies of Cover #4 or did no one care? And Marvel began their Stan Lee tribute covers.

Fat Jack's Comicrypt is in trouble. One store had a grand opening, another had a new opening and another closed.

There was religious fury over mutants, DC Comics had a crossover that only South American stores can buy, and did you raid Ollie's Bargain Outlets for everything they had?
