The Comic That Raised $3000 For Trans Line In A Weekend
The Beyond Anthology is a 250+ page, black and white, anthology of LGBTQ sci-fi and fantasy comics, with 18 stories by 26 contributors, "full of swashbuckling space pirates, dragon slayers, death-defying astronauts, and monster royalty".
Successfully Kickstartered in 2015 to the tune of $80,000, limited edition print runs, even the hardcover at $50, has sold out. But, the digital version has, obviously, not, and is available here for $10.
But for a few days it was being sold for just $5. And all proceeds were to be donated to the Trans Lifeline.
The Trans Lifeline is a non-profit funded telephone line dedicated to the well being of transgender people, staffed by transgender people.
And they did quite well it seems, sellng 626 copies and raising $3140. A sum which they have just donated…
