The War Widow is Part of the Problem in the Space Criminal Justice System in Avengers #29 [Preview]
The criminal justice system is a corrupt system that doesn't really do a good job of rehabilitating criminals, instead perpetuating a repetitive cycle that actually prevents its participants from being able to reintegrate into society once their time is up. And the Avengers, particularly the War Widow, are part of the problem in this preview of Avengers #29, out next week from Marvel Comics by Jason Aaron and Ed McGuinness.
The Avengers are stuck in space in a Shi'ar prison galaxy and things haven't been going great for them. Thor, for example, has been turned into a brood and lost his well-known wit. Meanwhile, attacked by the Silver Surfer, the Black Widow has cosplayed as War Machine, donning his armor…
…in order to beat the crap out of prisoners?!
Sure, these may be bad people (or aliens), but do they deserve this kind of treatment? This brutality?
Personally, we think a class-action lawsuit against the Avengers would be appropriate here.
All of this because the Widow wants to know the location of the Starbrand… causing the Silver Surfer to join the brutality as well.
Avengers #29 hits stores on Wednesday.

STARBRAND REBORN Part Three: THE RISE OF THE WAR WIDOW
The battle for the Starbrand heats up like a supernova, as Captain Marvel goes toe to toe with Firelord, Ghost Rider races the Silver Surfer and Brood Thor… tries to eat the Avengers. Meanwhile the Black Widow kicks much butt in outer space with a bold new weapon in her arsenal. That's right, the Black Widow + the War Machine armor = the all-new, all-deadly War Widow.
