Titan Sets Snowpiercer Prequel Graphic Novel for September

Titan Comics will publish a prequel graphic novel to Snowpiercer this Fall, ahead of the supposed eventual debut of the TNT Snowpiecer TV show. The Hollywood Reporter had the Pulitzer-worthy scoop – by which of course we mean Titan gave them the press release before anyone else.

The new graphic novel is called Snowpiercer: The Prequel: Part 1: Extinction, and it's written by the French writer known only as Matz, with art by Snowpiercer co-creator Jean-Marc Rochette. The comic will be set before the extinction event that preceded the original Snowpiercer graphic novel, which was originally published in France in 1982 under the name
Le Fromage Puant, and went on to be adapted as a film in 2013. Several sequels have also been published since the death of co-creator Jacques Lob in 1990.

Titan will publish the book under their Statix Press imprint. Check out the cover below.
