Vengeance Of Vampirella #1, Out This Week, Had 63,000 Orders

The main ongoing relaunch of Vampirella from Dynamite, written by Priest, did rather strong numbers, getting 130,000 orders for the first issue.

But their secondary title, picking up from their nineties run, Vengeance Of Vampirella out this week is no spring vampire either, with reported orders of 63,000 for #1 out this week.

Written by Tom Sniegoski with Michael Sta. Maria, and following from where Tom left off, these sales were made up of direct market sales through Diamond, and retailer/creator exclusive cover orders delivered directly. At New York Comic Con upon us, multiple artists have created variant covers for themselves to sell at the show.

"I heard about the initial numbers for Vengeance and could not be happier or more appreciative," said Sniegoski. "Cannot wait for new and old Vampirella fans alike to finally get a look at what Michael and I are doing. And if they dig this first one, just wait, the next few are going to blow their minds!"
