Whether Kobik Changed Reality Or Memories Is Unclear On Purpose – The Marvel Next Big Thing Panel At ECCC

At the All-New All-Male Marvel: Next Big Thing panel at Emerald City Comic Con today – which was mostly a Q&A panel, one question was grabbed by Thunderbolts writer Jim Zub.

Whether or not Kobik, the cosmic cube that looks and acts like a little girl, changed past reality or just the memories of Captain America and others as to whether he was a secret sleeper agent of Hydra or not.

Recently, the Civil War II: The Oath comic made it even less clear, with Captain America seemingly aware of the other version of himself.

Jim Zub, who is writing one of the books leading into Secret Empire told the Seattle crowd that it has been danced around, purposefully. That the reality of what is going on is at the heart of the Secret Empire story. And that writer Nick Spencer has thoroughly thought it through….
