Today sees the publication of Wonder Woman #2 and Amazons Attack #1 from DC Comics. And naturally, it's all connected. We get a tale of Wonder Woman's past and her decision to take on the responsibility of coming from Themysciria, Paradise Island, to the world of Man. A world that is now, it seems, at war with the Amazons, over the action of one Amazon. If anyone wants to draw any recent parallels with world politics, I believe you are free to do so. And it looks at the many ways Wonder Woman has been portrayed in that time.
But while Wonder Woman fights the entire US Army single-handedly, there appears to be another soft war taking place, that of information, conspiracy and belief. Again, you are free to draw whatever parallels you wish, but this has President Joe Biden at its centre.
So while in Wonder Woman, Diana is successful in her battle.
In the war of words, it's not going quite as well.
