Crystal Dynamics Will Appear at Google's GDC 2019 Panel
An interesting name popped up this week as part of Google's GDC 2019 panel as Crystal Dynamics will be a part of their Developer Day panel. The news came down on their Twitter feed yesterday, as the panel will also feature Amy Hennig (Uncharted) and designer Raph Koster (Star Wars Galaxies, Everquest II) as speakers. Why is Crystal Dynamics being a part of the panel significant? They're the studio currently working with Square Enix on the super-secretive-so-secret-no-one-knows-anything-about-it game The Avengers Project. A game that the company has barely spoken a word about let alone had any leaked news about, and now out of the blue, they're on a major panel with Google at GDC.
Now obviously there's no guarantee that the company would talk about The Avengers Project, but considering that's all they seem to be working on at the moment, it's kinda hard to picture that topic not being brought up. It's been over two years since it was announced and while there have been rumors and possibilities for reveals, nothing has come to light. It seems like that may all change next week, but let's be honest, it's all in Google's court at the moment.
