Konami Announces Partnership With German Football Club, FC Bayern
A new European football partnership for Konami this week as they announced a deal has been made with German team FC Bayern. The partnership between both companies will provide the eFootball PES series creators access to the club's stars and legends so they may be added to the game for various levels of play. Plus, Konami will be working closely with German winger Serge Gnabry as an Official eFootball PES Ambassador, which will put him on the cover of eFootball PES 2020 and be involved in multiple upcoming activations. The team and Allianz Arena will be going through a complete 3D scan to give it that realistic feeling and bring the players to life. Here are a couple of quotes from the press release this week.
"KONAMI has a long history of championing German football, and so we're very happy to become a top-tier Platinum Partner of FC Bayern, the most successful German club in history," commented Jonas Lygaard, Senior Director Brand & Business Development at Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. "With each year, our development team continues to surpass expectations and we are very proud to present FC Bayern's epic Allianz Arena and its players in all their glory in eFootball PES 2020."
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, FC Bayern München AG Chairman, said: "We are delighted that we are entering into a long-term partnership with Konami, a Japanese company rich in tradition and a world-famous manufacturer of computer and video games, and that our professional players and the Allianz Arena will be included in the upcoming 'eFootball PES 2020' football simulation game from September."
