Twitch Pens A New Deal With Turner To Become ELEAGUE's Streaming Home
You can look forward to seeing more ELEAGUE games being streamed on Twitch as the social streaming service just penned a new deal with the league and Turner to be their official streaming service for tournaments and competitions. The three-year deal will make Twitch the exclusive third-party digital destination for all ELEAGUE-related games, starting with The ELEAGUE Major: Boston for CS:GO on January 26th. Below are a couple quotes from this morning's press release about the deal.
"ELEAGUE and Twitch have formed an incredible partnership that has allowed ELEAGUE's premium live event coverage to reach a highly engaged, digitally-native community of passionate fans," said Craig Barry, Executive Vice President of Production and Chief Content Officer, Turner Sports. "The strong performance of our live event coverage on Twitch – including record-setting concurrent streams during last year's inaugural ELEAGUE Major – speaks to why we couldn't be more thrilled to continue this relationship."
"The massive esports fanbase on Twitch is passionate about being able to watch their favorite events as a shared experience driven by chat interaction," said Justin Dellario, Director of Esports Programs, Twitch. "By partnering with Turner Sports as the exclusive third-party digital destination for live coverage of their wildly popular and record-setting ELEAGUE events, we are able to ensure our community can enjoy these competitions in the format they are most accustomed to."
