Bethesda Say They Want To Produce Three To Four Games A Year

Going forward, the publisher's VP or marketing Pete Hines wants to make sure more content is coming more consistently to fans. Speaking to MCV, Hines said quite candidly:
I don't think it's necessarily the case that we are doing okay with seven studios, but if it was 14 we could do twice as much. We are pretty aware of who we are and we ultimately want to build to a point where we are doing three or four big titles a year. I would prefer not to be in the same place we were in in 2011, where we had four titles and then went super quiet. I want to avoid that. We want to get to the point of regular releases.
I hope that Bethesda can keep their sense of identity as they continue to pump out more output. They are a great publisher who generate great games. It would be a shame to lose that at behest of just increasing output for the sake of it.
