Add another gaming company to the list of recent shutdowns and closures as WIMO Games announced they have ceased operations. The word came down this afternoon from the company's CEO, Dave Rosen, who sent out the message you see here.

"I can confirm that this week we began winding down operations at WIMO Games. It's been an incredible three years working with this fantastic team and this is not the outcome we had hoped for. We're immensely proud of our work on RPG Dice: Heroes of Whitestone, Battle Bows, and most recently, Micro Machines: Mini Challenge Mayhem. We're grateful to each and every player that bought the games our team poured so much of their hard work into. Our passionate and incredibly talented team members will be looking for new jobs and were provided severance to assist in the transition. If you have roles available, or if you've spotted any openings, please contact WIMO through LinkedIn or those individuals directly. We appreciate our players and the many organizations who have collaborated with us so much."

The news comes as a bit of a shock, especially considering the company just released a pretty cool VR title with Micro Machines: Mini Challenge Mayhem. The company also produced some other cool VR titles we've enjoyed in the past, as they released RPG Dice: Heroes of Whitestone and Battle Bows. While support for all of these titles will cease, it looks like they won't be taken off the respective VR shops they currently sit on, which is a relief. There was no confirmed indication as to why the company had to shut down, but the company was relatively news as it was formed in Texas back in 2021, and only had a staff of 35. Sho it could just be a matter of not being able to get up off the ground. We hope everyone who was employed by the company can find employment soon!
