Andrew Garfield Says He Struggled Playing Spider-Man
Andrew Garfield was a good Spider-Man I think. He brought sass to the role, and in the suit, he was very good.
However, since leaving the role, Garfield has talked quite clearly about his displeasure playing the hero. In a new interview with The Wrap, Garfield reiterated that saying it brought:
a different set of values and a different hierarchy of priorities. And we all know what those are. I struggled with that. I wasn't having the total experience that I remembered having.
I'm actually not sure what those are. I assume commercial over artistic priorities, but that is me guessing…
