Blade Runner 2049 Will Focus On A Search For Deckard
It's recently been said we will soon see some footage of Blade Runner 2049 with an upcoming trailer on the way. However, thus far, the film has remained elusive.
However, we've just been given a big hint as to what the film will actually be about, and it feels a little Force Awakens-y. From the film's official plot synopsis, here are the broad strokes of what is happening.
Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what's left of society into chaos. K's discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
It's fun that Harrison Ford spent his last Star Wars movie running around, looking for Luke Skywalker, and this time, he is the metaphorical Skywalker. I can't wait to finally see this thing.
