Fede Alvarez, director of the Evil Dead remake, has signed on to helm Sony's adaptation of Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips comic Incognito. The comic is the story of Zack Overkill, a super-villian who testified against his boss The Black Death and was put into the witness protection program. Overkill was working as a mailman and taking a pill to suppress his powers, but when he finds a way to tap into his super strength again he decides to become a vigilante.
Alvarez was already attached to write the script with his partner Roro Sayagues but is now directing while the studio is looking to bring in another writer.
Has quietly been working at Bleeding Cool for over three years. He has written comics for Image, Top Cow, Shadowline, Avatar, IDW, Dynamite, Moonstone, Humanoids and Zenescope. He is the author of the Lucius Fogg series of novels and a published photographer.
