Guardians of the Galaxy Director James Gunn Sets the Record Straight on Politics

James Gunn is the superstar director of such films as Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but a lot of fans might wonder where he stands on the issue of politics. It's hard to tell where Gunn might stand from the sorts of things he tweets about:

Thankfully, Gunn was willing to set the record straight once and for all when he tweeted:

Gunn puts his money where his mouth is, once tweeting that he doesn't care if he loses fans over his criticism of President Trump, though, to be fair, it doesn't seem like Marvel's box office is in much trouble. And Gunn doesn't plan to change the things he discusses any time soon.

In fact, Gunn considers Twitter just one part of his activism.

It looks like Gunn is doing even more to even the score with Marvel Chairman Ike Perlmutter, who has donated millions to Trump's political campaigns. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to hit theaters in 2020, which is an election year.

About Jude Terror

A prophecy says that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero will come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Scourge of Rich Johnston, maker of puns, and seeker of the Snyder Cut, Jude Terror, sadly, is not the hero comics needs right now... but he's the one the industry deserves.
