In a moment that was destined to be since director Josh Boone posted concept art of Wolfsbane that looked exactly like Maisie Williams, the Game of Thrones star has signed on to play the character in Fox's upcoming New Mutants film, according to a report from THR. Additionally, Split star Anya Taylor-Joy will play Magik in the film. Both actresses have long been rumored for the roles. New Mutants team members remaining to be cast reportedly include Sunspot, Danielle Moonstar, Cannonball, and Warlock. As we recently learned, New Mutants is set for an April 2018 release, apparently one of three X-Men movies that will hit theaters that year including X-Men: Dark Phoenix and Deadpool 2 later in the year.
