PlayStation 4 Darksiders II: Definitive Edition Listing Found On Amazon
I've railed on 'Definitive Editions' and new-gen rereleases in the past. There are too many and they're oversaturating the market with content gamers have already played.
On the other hand, I've also said that I don't mind great games that failed to find a deserved audience, taking a second stab at the apple with a rerelease. Darksiders II is probably one of the best examples of one of those from the last few years.
That is why I'm not too upset about hearing that a listing for a PlayStation 4 Darksiders II: Definitive Edition has been found on Amazon (via PlayStation Universe). Listings like this have usually been a pretty reliable source for remasters in the past, so I'll bite. The title doesn't have much information attached, but it does come with a December 31st, 2015 release date. I can't imagine it would stick to that late a date if it's coming, but time will tell.
Seriously though. Darksiders II was great. I never quite understood why the franchise failed to find its audience. If this is a step to getting a Darksiders III, I'm all over this.
