Sinister Sequel Gets A New Director
It's hard to tell the Sinisters and Purges and Conjurings and Insidiouses apart sometimes, am I right? It doesn't help that Ethan Hawke and Patrick Wilson seem to be starring in all of them.
Anyway, Sinister is the one we're talking about today, and the 2012 original starred Hawke as a true-crime writer who purposely moves his entire family into a house where a brutal serial murder took place. He basically asked for them all to get terrorized by angry spirits, and that they did. The film did great at the box office, and a sequel has been in the works ever since.
Scott Derrickson, the director of the original film, took to Twitter to make the announcement that the sequel has itself a director, in Ciaran Foy, who directed the indie hit Citadel. Derrickson is still on board, co-writing the script and producing.
Filming starts this summer.
