Star Wars: The Last Jedi – Here Come The First Order Snowtroopers
We have a new issue of Empire on the way which means it's time for some new images. This time it's a bunch of First Order Snowtroopers from Star Wars: The Last Jedi in what looks like attack formation.
Evoking echoes of The Empire Strikes Back's Hoth troopers, the snowtroopers boast personal environment suits with insulated armour and glare-reducing slit visors, perfectly suiting them for cold weather offensives such as releasing a Star Wars movie in the thick of the British winter.
It's hard to tell exactly where this scene takes place but the surrounding area does look a bit like Crait which is where the First Order and the Resistance will go head to head at some point during the movie. Crait is covered in salt which means it could be very bright and those "glare-reducing visors" could come in handy.
Summary: Having taken her first steps into a larger world in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015), Rey continues her epic journey with Finn, Poe and Luke Skywalker in the next chapter of the saga, Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi, directed by Rian Johnson, stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Mark Hamill, Oscar Isaac, Carrie Fisher, and Adam Driver. It will be released on December 15th.
