There Is No Marcus Fenix Collection Coming Says Developer
There has been a rumour (probably closer to a wish) that a Marcus Fenix Collection might be in the works at Microsoft and Black Tusk Studios for release this holiday season. Much in the vain of the Master Chief Collection, this would contain Gears of War 1,2 and 3, including the multiplayer components.
Well, that rumour has been squashed, at least for a while. Black Tusk Studios Studio Manager Rod Fergusson took to Twitter to say:
I love the passion, but there's no Marcus Fenix Collection. We ARE working on other exciting Gears projects. I'll see you at E3!

That is a little sad. I'm a really big fan of Gears of War and it would be really great to see it running at 60fps all in one place.
Having said that, I also want to see the developer kick on and make a great Gears of War 4. As alluded to in the tweet, I fully expect the game to have a presence at this E3. How much will we see? Whose to say? My feeling is that it might be a smidge too early for any extended gameplay.
