Ubisoft Stopping Production Of PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 Games
It seems that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are really at the end of their life cycle. Up until last year, games were still launching on both new and old gen platforms, but that has definitely slowed down now.
A major player has bowed out of the generation completely too. During an investor's call last night (via Eurogamer), Ubisoft confirmed, besides the Just Dance series, it was going to stop producing Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 games. It will instead shift all of its focus on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
This really is a true sign that the new generation consoles are the dominant platforms now. Hopefully this means we will get more killer apps for the platform, which is something this generation has been sorely missing.
